It turned a potential trillion dollar wealth destruction(or rather adjustment, the wealth didn't really exist) into potential liabilities of about 50 trillion because of all the derivatives etc. <br>No mystery here, yes it was the mother of all bubbles, but still quite manageable. Its the financial "innovation" the CDS etc. that is killing us. Uhm the case is VERY well known, the bubble popped no rocket science here…
