I&#039;m a little reluctant to read all these dueling claims by both of you about what &quot;people don&#039;t recognize&quot; without some more data.

His latest post seems to pretty clearly demonstrate that another thing that people don&#039;t recognize is that &lt;em&gt;in vitro&lt;/em&gt; fertilization in far, far tougher in one&#039;s 40s that they think.  Astoundingly so, really.</description>

I bet unplanned children are more likely to reduce happiness. If you eliminate unplanned (unwanted?) children from the sample, the overall effect may turn out to be positive, thus negating the dilemma for people who might base their *decision* to have children on the happiness reduction.</description>
