I was wondering and now I see that this Cato is the brainchild of the Cato Institute which, according to David Brock in Blinded By The Right, was founded and is propped up by far right wing milionaires. No way, Jose.

Get free of the millionaires. Risk it poor and alone by yourself, like I did, falling flat on your face pursuing the American dream, then you'll have something to say to an intellectual, retired working stiff who's spent a lifetime studying and working and am damn glad for the social safety net which, fortunately, I don't, save for social security, have to use.

When, like my coal mining grandfather, you stand alone against the capitalists and see that you can't win without some kind of help, be it the union or the government, then you'll have something to say to me. You, as we used to say, "young whippersnappers", have not too much to say to me until you've been down and out, "been down so far, it looks up to me".

Cheers and here's mud in your eye,

Your consistent abuse of exclamation points--seven in that post alone--makes me want to pull your dick off. With my teeth.

[...] These are good news : The Cato Institute opened new Blog : Cato@Liberty . eaturing the entire Cato policy staff commenting on news, recent events, and pressing issues that concern us all! We’re just getting started, but I don’t think you’ll regret adding @Liberty to your feedreader. Once we all get up to speed on this blogging thing, we’re going to be hard to beat as a policy and politics blog. And here is the jewel of the day : Sen. Dick Durbin, discussing gas prices on on Meet the Press: “Am I the only one of your guests here that think that profit taking is a problem?” “Profit taking” is sort of the whole point of a free-market economy, isn’t it Senator? blogosphare, Cato Institute, Libertarianism [...]
