Shew Fly, Shew

by Will Wilkinson on March 23, 2006

I came into my office this morning and discovered a fly trapped in my Nalgene. It can’t find its way out. What can this possibly mean?

Clearly, reality imitates blog...or perhaps, blog title?

The implications about what may happen in their offices, or elsewhere, may be worrisome for some:
Hit and Run, Geekpress, Critical Mass??

    For others, perhaps amusing:
    The Long Tail, Inkwell

Vodkapundit, one may safely assume, has already been there and done that...
  • To quote someone way more funny than me...

"Imagine everything just as it is, only DIFFERENT, instead of the same. What would it mean to want to say that, at a quite particular point in a chess game—just before you lose your queen, let us say—, we came to recognize that we lacked a special facial gesture for expressing precisely THIS kind of difference?"

It means flies aren't very smart about plastic bottles?

Or it's not very interested in leaving?
  • Means you lost the opportunity to photograph a new web logo.

    What's a Nalgene?

    How literal-minded these philosophers are!
The real question is: how do you get the fly out without breaking the bottle?
  • Robert Schwartz
Need to put the bottle in the dishwasher ever once in a while.
  • It means wash your bottle out after drinking CarnoMaxx - the new energy beverage that tastes just like raw meat.
